Painting on canvas using oils or acrylics is my medium of choice. I occasionally use pastels for underlying effect and plaster for texture, but for the most part I simply paint on canvas.
I lean towards oils for those paintings that I have plenty of time to work because of the slow drying time. Also, oil paint does not darken up as much as acrylic when it dries so is quite easy to control.
I really enjoy painting abstracts and impressions of people and places I imagine in my dreams. Places that calm my soul. I can paint places that do exist from time to time, but creating places that do not exist are where my imagination has a chance to run wild.
Dreams and imagination are something we have as a child and somehow, we lose them along the way. Expressing myself on canvas brings me back to my childish years and allows me to play again.
